HOW THEY WERE CHANGED

• All four are heavily modified, and the licence requires saying so. Each model’s meshes are merged into one; every material and texture is stripped, so nothing you see carries the original’s surface; the geometry is re-centred and re-scaled to a shared height system, and decimated to roughly 25,000 triangles.
• Heights are compressed rather than true to life. At full scale the Burj Khalifa at 828 metres would make the pyramids at 146 metres vanish beside it, so the ratio is deliberately flattened — the ranking is honest, the proportions are not.
• They are lit and tinted by this site, not by their authors.

WHAT IS NOT SOMEONE ELSE’S WORK

• The Kingdom Centre in Riyadh is original geometry built for this site, not a downloaded model. The only downloadable one is 294 triangles, and that building is its inverted parabolic opening, which is the first thing a 294-triangle budget loses. It is built as a shape with a hole so the silhouette is exact by construction, and it is mentioned here so the list above is not read as covering it.
• The terrain, the water, the markers and everything else in the scene are this site’s own.

THE BUILDINGS THEMSELVES

• The pyramids and the Sphinx are antiquities. The Burj Khalifa and the Kingdom Centre are contemporary buildings, and rights in modern architecture are not the same as rights in a 4,500-year-old monument — they concern the building, not the model file, and they are a separate question from the licence above.
